MG Majestor 3-Row SUV Price Expected Mid-May 2026: Features, Specs, and Should You Buy It?

MG Majestor: MG Motor India is inching closer to announcing the price of its highly anticipated Majestor — the brand’s new three-row flagship SUV that has been turning heads since its unveiling earlier in 2026. Industry sources indicate the price reveal will happen by mid-May 2026, with deliveries expected to commence shortly after. The Majestor is a crucial product for MG as it aims to replace the underperforming Gloster and reestablish a strong foothold in the premium 7-seater SUV market in India.

MG Majestor: Design and Positioning

The Majestor takes a fresh design approach compared to the Gloster. While the Gloster had a boxy, utilitarian stance, the Majestor features a more sophisticated and modern exterior with a bold front fascia, LED matrix headlamps, and a wide imposing grille. The rear gets clean horizontal tail lamp treatment. At its expected size, it slots above the Hector Plus and directly challenges the Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra XUV700, and Skoda Kodiaq.

MG is offering the Majestor in two trim levels — Sharp and Savvy — with the choice of both 6-seat (captain chair layout) and 7-seat (bench layout) configurations.

Key Features That Stand Out

  • Triple differential locks — a feature segment-first for MG, enabling serious off-road capability rarely seen at this price point
  • 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment — one of the largest screens in the 3-row SUV segment
  • Fully digital instrument cluster
  • Dual wireless charging trays
  • Cooled, powered, and massaging front seats
  • Panoramic sunroof expected on top Savvy variant
  • ADAS suite with Level 2 autonomous driving features
  • 360-degree camera with multiple view angles

Engine and Powertrain

The MG Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, similar in specification to other MG products. Output is expected to be in the range of 220-250 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. A 4WD variant is expected on the top trim, leveraging the triple differential lock system. MG may also offer a diesel engine option to compete with the Fortuner’s popular diesel variant.

MotorFocus Verdict: The MG Majestor looks like a compelling proposition — especially for buyers who want genuine off-road ability (triple differential locks) combined with a premium, technology-laden cabin. The critical question is pricing. If MG can keep the base variant under Rs 40 lakh with all the core features intact, the Majestor could seriously challenge the Toyota Fortuner’s decades-old dominance in this space.
